CHINARCANES is a company that provides business intelligence, and political and military insights on China’s leaders. It was founded in December 2003, in Hong Kong, by Agnes Andresy, a recognized expert on influence networks in China. She is supervised by Azincourt Consulting Ltd, a firm based in Hong Kong. From 2003 to 2008, she edited the subscription newsletter ARCANES DE CHINE, which has been renamed CHINARCANES.

Chinarcanes is the only French source on China’s political class and business community. Its exclusive information examines linfluence peddling, power struggles, corruption, and what lies beneath business contracts and military intelligence. A valuable indicator of China’s future direction, it provides sophisticated insights on the major players in China’s public and private enterprises and institutions — free from government bias.

Chinarcanes does not rely on official Chinese, French, or Anglo-Saxon sources. It has specific channels of information that draw on Asian materials and French correspondents in Asia.
